This is why I love to keep diaries and writings of the pasts. It was a tips-sharing/suggestions session on my last day in my English private school. In my class (since it was the most senior class and it was quite newly opened), there were only a teacher, me and 4 other females around my age (1 is older than the other 3). So, on the last day of school, we were having some kind of emo (as I would say now, back then, I would rather use the word: "memorable") activities.
So, it began with a fortune telling session. I was told to write some kind of "predictions" to every of my classmates. It was really funny. Guess what my classmates wrote about me? It was damn funny to read at it today. There were actually four writings, but I am just going to quote the interesting ones and combine them into the following paragraph.
Dear Kelvin,
You'll get married at the age of 27 and have 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls who are genius in physics, chemistry, computer and biology! You will become either a computer programmer or a professor. As for the workplace, you'll do it at New York, not Singapore.
My today's response will be (response when I am older may differ significantly):
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your fortune telling. I have no idea when will I get married. 4 children? I guess Singapore may love me a lot lot lot because of that XD Anyway, it's not a bad idea if each of my children masters in different scientific fields. It will be quite cool, I guess. Nah, I have given up my programming and had an affair with Chemistry. So, professor may be feasible (who knows). New York? Now that's a bit way too far, right? Alright, States is good, but I may want to do it somewhere else. Korea?
OK, the next session, we did a suggestion-sharing. So, all my classmates wrote to me something like this.
Dear Kelvin,
1. Don't be too crazy about computer -- (I was a computer geek at that time)
2. Promise me,give a good care to your wife and children -- (ZOMG. Don't you think it's abit early to tell me this? HAHAHAHA I was at my 3rd year of senior high school, which mean that I was 17)
3. Don't think too seriously -- (OKOK. In NUS, I am not thinking that hard anymore)
4. Just enjoy your life, have fun and do the things you like -- (Nice, this phrase goes well with my philosophy)
5. Don't be so stress, always smile. OK! -- (Yeah, I don't really know why people always tell me I was so smiley as if it is my 'default' face expression, even people who just met me for 1 months could say that I am unconditionally and constantly smiley)
6. Do at least one new thing every day -- (I tried a lot of new things in my uni! yay!)
OMG OMG OMG! This is seriously funny. I am laughing like crazy in my room now. Hopefully my new neighbors won't get a strange impression. XD
Oh yeah, one more thing, on the last day of the private school, my teacher asked me.
"Kelvin, I was just wondering, you know you are the only male in this class, may I ask why you are still taking the class? Usually if this is the case, man will somehow be feeling insecure because he is on his own"
Seriously, I never really consider the male/female ratio to be of any importance. XD But, truthfully, It can be seen on some time that I am shy XD XD XD XD
Yeah, keepsakes like these will provide good laughter and many good ol' memories. Its good for motivation =D ALRIGHT! SHALL DO THE YEARBOOK DAMN PROPERLY! XD XD XD
peace
