I was so excited to enroll myself in this concert! This is the first time I am being officiated as a Kpop fan. HAHA! Everybody who went there should love and enjoy Kpop, supposedly. Back to the news. The show would start at 6 PM, but I was there at 2 PM along with other SG and HK peeps with me. Why? We needed to exchange the coupon we downloaded from the internet with the ticket. The counter for ticket exchange for foreigner was totally flooded and there were a huge bulk of people amassing before the counter. The bad news was, there was only one counter. So, basically, the whole mass of people converged at the one end to exchange their ticket and trust me, it was really disastrous. HAHA!

We went for another queue for free disc about G20 theme song, "Let's Go" and free glowstick for the concert. HAHA! We spent our time queuing until it was 4 in the afternoon. We had nowhere to go and decided to enter the stadium to get a good seat in our section. =)

One funny thing happened. It was the Murphy's Law. HAHA! My camera ran out of battery! =.=" I could not believe I would spend my first Kpop experience without any camera with me! Since there was 2 hours left before the concert starts, I went back outside the stadium and started to run with a hope of finding a convenience store or something. Actually, there was a convenience store nearby the stadium and it was crowded with people buying snacks and finger foods (and maybe dinner) for food during the concert. I went there and found that the AA battery row was empty!!! I was panicked and decided to walk to another section of the stadium to find another store. I was kinda sad when I found out that there were no stores open nearby and I would not have enough time if I left the stadium with bus or subway, so I decided to look to the convenience store that I went earlier. Still, there were no AA batteries sold there. But, I tried to find around and WOW! I found them! They fell and was hidden behind stack of other stuff. I was really lucky to find them JUST ENOUGH for my camera. HAHA! I would believe that the converse of Murphy's Law do exist. "Whatever that could go right, may go right" I went back to my seat and brace myself for the euphoria and excitement coming really soon.
The concert was kickstarted by various 'rising' stars i.e. Nine Muses, The Apple Girl, Rainbow, E-Via and Teen Top. All of them are from Korea. Some remarks: E-Via was the one that caught my attention. She was apparently a female rapper and she could rap really fast! She got the reputation of the Korean "Eminem" due to her use of suggestive lyrics and sound effects. However, she performed something really interesting and cute in this concert. The song was called Bbi Gga Chu! (Pikachu!) Pick Up! U! Go find it in Youtube and tell me what do you think! XD
After those artists performed, the 'real' show began. HAHA! The mood was lifted by the presence of 4minute on the stage! With the notorious Hot Issue and another top songs of theirs, they made the audience real hot, energizing them with Kpop passion. HAHA!

The baton now was passed all the way to the Southeast Asia. Coming next, was the artist from Thailand, Bie the Star. He sang Thai songs and he was quite good, apparently! =)

The crowd goes wild knowing who was the next group. It was the ultra-popular 2AM! They sang "Can't let you go even if I die" at first captivating the hearts of all audience with their awesome voice. As for the second songs, they sang "I did wrong"! IT WAS MY FAVORITE SONG from 2AM! I screamed like crazy after knowing that! XD Their performance was really good back then! XD

Still onto the vocal, a singer from China, Jane Zhang made everybody startled in disbelief with her beautiful voice. Believe me, she was the singer that could make me have the "Woah" effect. HAHA! She performed an English song (I have no idea what was the title) and a Chinese song named "I believe".

Next on, we would have to go to the neighboring country, Taiwan! Joe Cheng was the representative for Taiwan. He sang quite well remembering that his background was actually acting. He did one dance song and one slow song.

After the Taiwanese singer, here comes the godfather of KPop, Lee Seung Chul. For those who have no idea who is him. He was the senior of today's KPop icon such as Lee Hyori. He was the most popular singer (mark my word, singer, not dancer, not actor, not others, he was truly a singer) back during 90s. He was the original singer of the song "Girls' generation". Check out his clips on Youtube! He sang "Girls' Generation" and "Sorujyo". The audience was truly mesmerized by his vocals on his 2nd song which was vocal-intensive.

Coming up next was the artists coming from Japan! Guess who? The largest-girl-group that I've ever known. Consisting of 50 girls, they called themselves: AKB48. Only a few from those 50 girls could represent AKB48 on international scale such as this concert. HAHA! They were really cute type of JPop singer. Energetic and high pitch were uncommon. Apparently, some of AKB48 fans were there at the stadium too! I LOVE THEIR CHEERS! It was so energetic and could make you high. No alcohol involved. HAHA!

From the cute Japanese groups, now we arrived at the charismatic Korea group, KARA. With their charismatic looks, they performed "Lupin" and "Mister". It was an amazing combination, making all the audience go crazy looking at their performance. It was truly professional and believe me, watching at Youtube was NOTHING compared to watching them 'live'.

The last non-Korean singer! MICHAEL WONG GUANG LIANG from Malaysia. Man, I missed him so much. He used to be my favorite love song singers during my high school. HAHA! Now, he was in front of me singing his top songs to me! He sang "Tong hua" and another song that I've never heard before. XD He was the only non-Korean singers that could make the whole stadium screamed for his name!

After the romantic Guang Liang, now it was BEAST turn! Newly arrived to the top Kpop scene, BEAST, lately, had been capturing the nation's attention with their two powerful singles "Shock" and "Breathe". Their performance made the fangirls shrieked so hard that it was almost deafening! XD OMG! I am truly amazed by those fans =)

Not enough of BEAST? The next singer will really give it all. He is Rain. Today's male icon for Korean music and entertainment industry. He sang "Bad Boy", "Love Song" and "Hip Song". Now, not only the fangirls shrieked like nobody's business, but the guys too! XD ZOMG! That's the Rain's effect. XD

The main highlight of this show was put as the last item. It was the most senior female icon for Kpop! Beat of Angel or you are more familiar with: "BoA". She sang her old songs and two of her new songs "Copy and Paste" and "Hurricane Venus". Her performance truly become the climax of the show with all the cheers, music and fireworks!

I only have one word for this concert: AWESOME.
Nuff' said. XD
peace
