This Summer

My semester in NUS is near to completion. A few interesting records this semester was my undertaking of mediocre quantum mechanics course by reading Fitts’ Principles of Quantum Mechanics and Jim Baggott’s Meaning of Quantum Theory. Both are excellent texts providing a critical and substantial knowledge of basic quantum mechanics. Of course, almost everything was self-learned and self-discipline and I would like to express my gratitude towards Dr. Cheng Hansong who provided critical guidance on some point of my studies.

This “scientific awakening” of me towards quantum mechanics was translated into Physics-related work that I am going to do this summer at Aarhus University, a distinguished institution at Denmark. Under Prof. Nielsen’s group, I will carry out several experiments related to molecular cluster dynamics and spectroscopy, which would mainly fall under the branch of chemical physics (or physical chemistry, if you prefer). I am really looking forward towards the experience and studies that I would be working on later this summer.

I am so excited!
