UNLEASHED! anniversary

UNLEASHED!, the name of my ‘class’ during my high school times, still manage to hold on to its existence until today. With myriad of active participations from the members on activities organized by ourselves, we had managed to keep our bonds and ties alive until this moment. One of the things that we always do every year is the anniversary dinner. It was to commemorate and remember the inauguration day of our ‘class’ name.

I still remembered. I screwed up big time on my piano performance due to my overflowing nervousness. We danced together in waltz and freestyles following the beat of the music. We shouted out loud to our newly inaugurated class name and we cheered. One particular thing that I always remembered was the number of teachers that attended the event.

You see, our class was notorious for our restlessness; Teachers often complained about how noisy and un-attentive our class was. This particular trait of us was a total opposite to what our school envisioned us to be. Our class was ‘branded’ as the most ‘special’ class filled with best students with exceptional talents and academic performance. When it came to exam, our class seem to beat the rests to smithereens. However, we seem to have some problems in managing our raging adrenalines and thus, dissatisfaction among educators peaked.

From the numerous letters of invitation to our inauguration party, only five (or three, I can’t recall) responded and attended. Most of them were our ex-class-advisors cum teachers (like how Halls have their Hall Masters), which really understood the thinking of the class inside out. We were not surprised at all. In fact, we enjoyed a great deal of quality time with them along the party. It was truly a night to remember.

Yeah, but these are the members in Singapore. Usually, we’ll have a bigger-sized gathering if we happen to be at our home-base at that particular time.
